Preowned Golf Clubs Ideal for Beginners

I get asked a lot if someone who is new to golf should go out and buy a nice set of clubs from the pro shop. My normal answer to this is no preowned golf clubs for beginners are ideal. Especially if that person is not yet sure if they are going to take the sport up full time or not.

When you weigh up the pros and cons of preowned golf clubs the pros far outweigh the cons. Look at it this way a good set of preowned golf clubs will cost you around $400 where you can get the same set of clubs that have been used for around $200. Half the price of starting a new hobby! Not bad hey?

Well I have to say I started of with preowned golf clubs and lucky for me the clubs that I got were good enough for me to use for 3 years before I went out and got some new ones.

There are loads of places you can get preowned golf clubs and many of them are excellent quality and prepared for you by professionals who take the time to clean clubs before they send them out.

I now personally use Callaway clubs and luckily there is a site that is targeted towards the clubs that I use and they have a number of other preowned golf clubs of different makes that are also as good.

WALKING??? Thank the powers for Callaway golf bags!

What are you going on about now? I hear people asking, well yesterday I went out for a nice relaxing round of golf with a friend of mine who has a little bit of a heart condition, he has been instructed to do more exercise which means playing more golf. However as the storm clouds rolled in he informed me that we were walking which is when I said “Thank the powers for Callaway golf bags!”

And here is why, I made a promise to myself that I would walk my round of golf at least once a week (I normally play either once or twice a week minimum) so once a week is next to nothing really. However I always carry my bag when I am on the course and this particular course has more hills than the Rocky Mountains! So it was going to be a long hard slog for me carrying my bag!

However a few weeks back I purchased one of the brand new Callaway golf bags designed especially for people who are stubbon like me and carry their bag on a regular basis. Callaway have come up with a bag that not only has a back support so you can carry the bag like it is a rucksack but also for the more adventurous golfer who plays in any weather a waterproof cover so your grips don’t get soaked in a down poor!

So when we get to the 11th, which is probably the furthest away from the club house you can get on the back nine for this particular course, and the heavens opened and unleashed enough water to spark arks being built around the globe, I calmly put on my water proofs and covered my bag and said “Thank the powers for Callaway golf bags!” Even enough room for my wet kit without weighing a tonne!
