Are Used Callaway Golf Clubs as Good as New? Well the Used Callaway Golf Clubs Site which I am a massive fan of at the moment gives you the opportunity to select the level of used club that you want.

Basically you can select if you want an as new club or one that has seen better days.I have to say though the team that take the clubs in do a fantastic job of weeding out the really awful clubs from those that have been taken around the course once!

I have just taken delivery and played my first round with my 5th Used Callaway Golf Clubs Purchase and I have to say I am delighted I got the ProLaunch Blue 65 and as I arrived at the course late I didn’t have time to test it on the range so stood on the first tee very nervous struck the perfect shot straight down the middle of the fairway. Very satisfied customer continued as my straight driving and good round continued, my playing partner also had a go and commented on how good the club was and did not believe me when I told him it was a second hand club.

So are Used Callaway Golf Clubs as good as new? As long as you select the good as new option then you will not go wrong and the clubs are divine!

Getting the right Used Golf Clubs For Sale!

Posted under Clubs Reviewed

Making sure you get the right used golf clubs for sale is like finding the right partner to spend your life with. Ok we know that your golf clubs have less of a life expectancy than your life partner (well in most cases anyway) but if you are looking for used golf clubs for sale then you would be well advised to choose carefully.

A few years back I decided that I would look for used golf clubs for sale in my local paper and I have to say what I got wasn’t what I wanted and it was more expensive than I really wanted to pay. So when I started looking a few months ago for used golf clubs for sale I discovered that I could get a much better deal than I originally got!

I found a site online that not only gave me a massive list of used golf clubs for sale but also gave me a huge discount on what they should cost along with them being fully refurbished back to their almost new glory! Lets face it if you are looking for USED golf clubs for sale then you are not going to get completely new but you will be up for getting some value for your money!

This was the site I used for my Used Golf Clubs For Sale and I would recommend them to anyone. The clubs I got were good solid and Callaway which would have cost me a small fortune new!

Why Golf Sets are not always the way to go!

Posted under Clubs Reviewed

There are some really good deals available on golf sets where ever you shop at the moment but is a golf set the way to go for you?

Well lets take a look at why you would go for a complete golf set, I am guessing that the main reason is that it has all the clubs that you need and it saves hours of time trying out different clubs. Well this isn’t always a good thing. Imagine getting a complete set along with a golf bag and a umbrella nice hey!! Yeah but your driver makes you pull it to the right and your putter is more like a hammer than the instrument you use to put the ball delicately into the hole!

Everyone is different and have their own way of playing the game. If two people went to the same coach every day for three weeks then went out and played a round together then the swing, method and routine would all be individual because that is how people are. So when you look at buying a complete golf set you are probably looking at getting driver all the way through to putter, which might be ok but what happens if you can use the wedge or the three wood? You are stuck with them because they came with the set.

Here is what I do when I see a good deal on a golf set, most stores have a net or a range that you can go and try the clubs out on, well this is where I would be testing every club in the set. Make sure that you are happy with the clubs, if they all suck then don’t buy them if you get 75% that you are happy with then go back into the shop and tell them that you are happy with that 75% but you would like to look at individual clubs to replace those that didn’t come up to scratch.

If you are buying a golf set then you need to spend a good few hours trying different golf sets and golf clubs so that you get the right set for you. If you are buying for someone else then you need to make sure that they go with you so that they get what they want. I have had to use clubs that put 10 shots on my round because they were purchased for my by an unexperienced loving uncle!

Living on a Golf Course

Posted under Basically Golf

Most golfers have at some point walked past the houses on the side of the golf course and thought to themselves that there would be a great place to live as you can just walk out of your front door onto the course. Well there are plus and minus points to living on a golf course!

A massive plus is the quiet during the day, the odd tink as someone hits their tee shot, the odd cry of FORE as the tee shot rockets towards the unknown and of course the distant rumble of the odd car, but with all this being the nice tranquil part of living on a golf course there are of course the odd downfall.

Living on the first line of a golf course (right on the fairway) can be a little dangerous and of course costly with replacement windows. This is rare that someone sends a ball crashing through a window but stray golf balls into your garden are not unusual. I was lucky enough to play the San Roque Club on the South Coast of Spain when someone said “That house is where Seve lives!” 30 seconds later I was watching my ball vanish into the water hazard that just so happened to be Mr Ballesteros’ swimming pool (luckily without him in it) Very Embarrassing!

There is also the added problem of security living on a golf course, because you want to have the unspoilt views of the course most people lapse when it comes to having a barrier between them and the course meaning that someone can wander straight off the golf course up to your front or back garden! This means that you have to be extra aware when it comes to leaving doors and windows open.

Rememeber at the start of this post I mentioned that there was a great tranquility to having a place to live on a golf course well this is true but there are other noises on the golf course that can bring around strange happenings. Sounds silly but I defy anyone to lay in bed with the window open while they are sleeping and not have to get up and go to the toilet in the middle of the night when the sprinkler system kicks off! Gushing water into your subconscious.

If you are considering living on a golf course then also think about the age of the course and the number of properties around it. The reason I say this is because if it is a young course then chances are there are not many properties but this can mean that there will be a lot of building going on for a number of years as the land around the course is sold off a plot at a time.

Aside from the odd problem living on a golf course is tranquil and looking out over the trim well maintained fairways in the morning is something that should appeal to everyone who likes the country and the peace and quiet.
