The most essential thing in golf is the precision of the golfer in making the ball to reach the target. And so the golf swing has much greater effect in determining the effectiveness of the golfers shot. So the golfer should have a clear cut idea of the motion of the golf ball after his hit. The term golf swing in golf refers to the force exerted by the player over the stationary golf ball. The golf player swings the club and he hits over the motionless ball. This force projects the ball to a particular distance in air and finally the golf ball rolls over the golf court and it reaches the cup. The correctness of the of the golfer’s hit is easily judged by the precision of his shot. But this precision in shot is in turn dependent on length. That is, the shorter shot are much practiced when compared to the longer shots. The reason behind this is that, a golf player can easily view the target at a shorter distance and there by he can calculate the golf swing.

When playing with the putter, the way the ball is stroked and the ball position is important. The putter can be gripped in many ways but it is better not to have the dominant hand.
